Safety

Self sufficiency is an important aspect of fell running and we must stress the importance of navigation and hill / mountain-craft when taking on these challenges. Although not all of these routes are in the most remote areas of the country, they can still be problematic if and when weather conditions change and it is the responsibility of runners to be prepared for such conditions. We recommend following the FRA standard kit requirements when taking on these challenges:

- Full Body Waterproof Cover with Waterproof Seams (Jacket / Overtrousers)


- Hat


- Gloves


- Whistle


- Map


- Compass

- Mobile Phone

- Food / Water
